Refresh your brand with these simple tweaks

08 July 2020

Want to give your restaurant or food delivery service a refresh while still retaining the unique identity that your customers know and love? Here are a few simple ideas that will bring a sense of freshness to your business without the need for a complete brand overhaul.

Upgrade your menu

Your menu is one of the first touchpoints users will come across when engaging with your brand, whether they look it up online or scan it over at your restaurant’s entrance. It’s often a deciding factor on whether they will eat your food or not so it’s absolutely essential that it looks as good as all your tasty dishes sound. It should be clear and concise while also staying true to your brand’s style. If you’ve hurriedly created new delivery menus as a result of the lockdown, now could be a good time to revisit them and make sure they look sleek and remain consistent with your visual identity.

Revitalise your website

You may have put a considerable amount of time and effort into launching your website when your restaurant first opened, but it’s not uncommon to find that several years down the line, it begins to look old-fashioned, not to mention the irrelevant and out-of-date information it contains. Spruce up your website with shots of your tastiest dishes, vibrant colours and an easy-to-navigate dashboard. Check over your site to ensure customers can find all the important information they need and complete common actions such as ordering delivery or booking a table with minimal effort. While you’re at it, why not optimise your site for search engines too, so you can attract even more customers?

Jazz up your packaging

As lockdown forced many businesses into transferring to takeaway and delivery services overnight, you may not have had a chance to think about making your packaging look as beautiful as possible. But, if you nail your packaging, you’re going to create a great first impression with your customers and your food is a lot more likely to be shared on social media platforms - great for spreading awareness of your brand! Your packaging can be as elaborate or as simple as you want. If you want to keep it minimal, attaching a sticker with your logo to each item or serving it all up in a branded paper bag or box are great ways to improve brand recognition.

Produce new promotional materials

While the whole country eagerly awaits the reopening of restaurants and bars on July 4th, now is the time to get your business in front of potential customers’ eyes – and look stylish doing so! Whether you decide on leaflets, business cards, flyers or postcards, make them fun and eye-catching to keep your brand at the front of people’s minds when they’re deciding on their next meal out (or in!) You could even create purchasable items such as tote bags, T-shirts or badges and very soon you might be seeing your brand all around the local area!
